Special-Lite Introduces New AMP Colonial Door With Smooth Surface

Special-Lite Introduces New AMP Colonial Door With Smooth Surface

Special-Lite, Inc. now offers a smooth-surfaced colonial acrylic-modified polyester (AMP) flush door ideal for educational, religious, restaurant, retail and municipal facilities which require a more traditionally styled entrance. The new model is based on the company’s popular SL-18 AMP Colonial Flush Door, which combines the look and feel of real wood and the advantages of modern engineering and materials for a door durable enough for even high traffic entrances.

The new Special-Lite® SL-18S Smooth AMP Colonial Flush Door features the same six-panel design and precision engineering of the SL-18 door but with a smooth-surfaced face sheet instead of a wood grain texture. It is available in custom sizes from a minimum of 30” x 80” to a maximum size of 42” x 88” and can be painted in any of 20 standard paint colors or a custom color. It is not available in wood stain finishes.

Like the SL-18, the new SL-18S AMP Colonial Door features a poured-in-place urethane core for superior thermal performance and internal hardware reinforcements for the exact hardware specified. It is corrosion resistant for humid or corrosive locations. All extrusions are 100% recycled pre-consumer aluminum content and the door perimeter is available in Class I anodizing or Kynar® painted finish.

Smooth colonial finishes can also be fabricated into 1 - 3/4” panels for side lites and transoms, subject to certain size and configuration restrictions. For availability please call 1-800-821-6531 or download additional information and order forms at www.special-lite.com.
